Gemma Pagan - Cumbria Wildlife Trust

Seed Bank

This mural was painted in the spring of 2023. The plants were voted on by the volunteer members of Cumbria Wildlife Trust to highlight local biodiversity.

Carlisle Street Art Festival

It all began with this wall. I was invited in the summer of 2022 by Blank Wall Assassins to create a piece of my choosing. I decided on bringing attention to local fauna, the Otter.

The wall was quite the hit with kids!

Cummersdale Primary School

This project had an open brief, however the children of the school voted on this design amongst a few other options. It was painted during the winter of 2022/23.

“Florence was commissioned to develop ideas for a mural with some young
people who were in living in supported accommodation. From her 1st meeting
with them, she really connected with their stories and their lives. This was
key to co-creating a mural that the young people felt ownership of. As an
organisation, CDEC loved working with Florence- we knew this strand of the
project was in safe, professional and wonderfully creative and generative

This wall was a collaborative project, the concept was created from conversations with teens in their care at the time in summer of 2022.
